Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 29 May 2014 Nikki I feel used her transness to push her political views, but then who would blame her, she has done incredible things in her lifetime and will continue to do so if this book is anything to go by, also she has suffered much to be the woman she is today, I absolutely applaud her... xXx

I saw Nikki speak at a women's business network and was totally enthralled by her story and her commitment. I had never expected to be a fan of an ex-UKIP MEP! This book reinforces what a powerhouse she is. Her strength appears to be based on all the adveristy she has faced up to and still continues to have to deal with. Some people just seem to have a lot of challenges and Nikki is one of them. However this is not a book about a victim — in fact just the opposite. This is about a woman of principle and courage who takes responsibilty for herself and fights for others needing support. I love her honesty too where she openly admits to actions she wished she hadn't taken. She's human. At least she describes the process and what led to her making the decisions. The only thing I would have liked is a final copyedit to get rid of the remaining punctuation and repetition errors. The story was so fantastic it still deserves the 5 stars as far as I'm concerned. Never give up, Nikki. The world needs you!

Not as you might have expected, Ms. Sinclaire has avoided the all too easy line of playing for sympathy as she takes on head on the issues of growing up as a girl trapped in a man's body with all the problems inherent compounded by a poor home in a series of rough areas.
To have addressed these challenges and yet risen in her professiona as a politician, through secretarial functions to management in British politics and with the lessons she has learned on the campaign trail in America finally getting herself elected as an MEP in the EUropean Parliament in her 40s is no small achievement.
This book clearly took courage to write, a quality Ms. Sinclaire clearly has in abundance.
It will be interesting to see, not so much how her life maps out in the future, but how she drives her life forward to further achievements as I'm sure she will.
